My made-in-Mexico Martin LX Black. Solid high-pressure laminate (HPL) construction, laminated birch "Stratabond" neck, cool little open-gear tuners, and darn near indestructible. I purchased this in May 2005 to use as a "beater" for trips to the beach or travel when I can't carry a full-size guitar. Currently it spends most of its time in the corner of my office for lunch-hour and late-afternoon stress relief and practice. The sound is surprisingly good - full, clear and unmistakeably "Martin" in tone.
